Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the expiry dates? #
Dates come from each registry's public RDAP server — the modern replacement for WHOIS. They're the same dates the registrar shows you. We re-check daily for paid tiers and weekly for the free tier.
What's the difference between "Expired" and "Dropped"? #
Expired means the domain's renewal deadline has passed but the registry still shows the original owner — typically a 30-day grace plus 30-day redemption window during which only the original owner can recover it. Dropped means the registry has released the domain back to the public pool and anyone can register it. Drop alerts include a one-click registration link.
Can I monitor competitor domains? #
Yes — that's what the drop alert is for. Drop-catchers fire automated registrations within seconds, but for less-popular names a Free or Pro account gives you the heads-up you need to act fast.
Do you store the domains I add? #
Domains you add to your watchlist ARE stored — that's what makes the recurring monitor work. You can remove any watch at any time, and deleting your account removes them all. Domains looked up in our other tools (Domain Availability Checker, WHOIS Checker) are not stored.
