1. Why This Page Exists
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires transparent disclosure of "material connections" between a publisher and the products or services it recommends (16 C.F.R. Part 255 — Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, last updated 2023). Equivalent disclosure rules exist in the UK (CMA Online Reviews Guidance), the EU (Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC, as amended by the "New Deal for Consumers" 2019/2161), Canada (Competition Act), and Australia (ACCC). This page makes our disclosures explicit so we comply with all of them at once.
2. Affiliate Links
Some links on the Service are affiliate links. If you click such a link and complete a purchase or sign-up on the destination site, we may receive a commission from the merchant. The price you pay is the same; the merchant simply shares part of the revenue with us.
Affiliate links are clearly marked, typically with one or more of: an asterisk, the label "affiliate link", the abbreviation "(aff)", or contextual disclosure adjacent to the link. Where an entire page is funded predominantly by affiliate revenue (e.g. a comparison or review article), a banner at the top of the page indicates so.
We participate in affiliate programmes operated by, among others:
- Amazon Associates (where applicable to a tool category).
- Stripe and PayPal partner programmes (where applicable).
- Hosting, SaaS, and tooling providers we have used internally.
3. Display Advertising
Some pages display advertising delivered by third-party ad networks, primarily Google AdSense. Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content, marked with the standard "Ads by Google" label or equivalent. The advertiser, not us, determines the specific ad creative shown. Our use of advertising cookies is governed by our Cookie Policy and is subject to consent in regions that require it.
4. Sponsored Content
If we ever publish content that has been paid for by a third party (e.g. a sponsored review, a sponsored tutorial, a sponsored comparison), the page will be clearly labelled "Sponsored" or "Paid post" at the top. The sponsor and the nature of the compensation will be identified. We retain editorial control over the content; sponsors do not pre-approve criticism or recommendation.
5. Editorial Independence
Our editorial recommendations — whether in tool descriptions, blog content, comparison articles, or AI-tool outputs we curate — are made independently of our affiliate or advertising arrangements. Specifically:
- The presence or absence of an affiliate relationship does not affect whether we recommend a product.
- We will recommend a non-affiliate product over an affiliate product when the non-affiliate product is the better fit.
- Negative reviews of affiliate products are published when warranted.
- Comparison rankings are based on stated criteria and are not paid placements unless explicitly disclosed as such.
6. How Affiliate Tracking Works
When you click an affiliate link, the destination site typically sets a cookie or appends a tracking parameter to the URL. That cookie or parameter is what the merchant uses to attribute a subsequent purchase back to us for commission. We do not share your personal data with the merchant; the attribution is anonymous to us. The merchant's own privacy policy applies to data they collect on their site.
You can prevent affiliate tracking by:
- Clearing cookies before visiting the merchant.
- Using your browser's tracking-protection or "do not track" features.
- Visiting the merchant by typing the URL directly rather than via our link.
7. AI-Generated Recommendations
Where one of our AI tools recommends a product or service, the recommendation is generated by the underlying language model based on its training data and your prompt. We do not bias the model toward our affiliate partners, and we do not pay for recommendations to be inserted. AI outputs may, however, mention products that we happen to have an affiliate relationship with — in which case the standard affiliate-link rules in Section 2 apply if you click through.
8. Reviews and Testimonials
Where the Service displays reviews or testimonials of Baaed FREE SEO Suite, those reviews:
- Are from real users.
- Are typical of the experience an average user can expect, except where individual atypical results are clearly marked as such.
- Are not edited to remove substance, except for spelling, grammar, or removal of personal information at the reviewer's request.
- Are not solicited in exchange for a discount or other benefit, unless that fact is disclosed alongside the review.
9. No Hidden Endorsements
We do not engage in paid social-media endorsements through influencers without requiring those influencers to disclose the material connection per FTC Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. § 255.5). If we run such a campaign in future, the disclosure rules below the post (e.g. "#ad" or "Paid partnership with Baaed FREE SEO Suite") will be made a contractual condition.
10. Children
Affiliate links and advertising are not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA) on this Service. See our Privacy Policy § 13 on children's privacy.
11. Updates
We may update this Disclosure as our affiliate and advertising arrangements evolve. The "Last updated" date is the authoritative version marker.
