Baaed FREE SEO Suite has zero tolerance for spam. This page explains what we consider spam, what laws bind both us and our users, and how to report violations.
1. Definition of Spam
For the purposes of this Policy, "spam" means any commercial electronic message (email, SMS, push notification, in-product message) sent to a recipient who has not given prior, informed, freely-given, specific, and unambiguous consent to receive it — or where the recipient has previously withdrawn that consent.
2. Email We Send to You
2.1 Transactional Email
Transactional emails are necessary to deliver the Service and are sent regardless of marketing-preference settings. Examples:
- Account verification and password reset.
- Billing receipts, payment failure notices, subscription renewals.
- Security alerts (new sign-in, suspicious activity, two-factor enrolment).
- Service availability and maintenance notices materially affecting your access.
- Replies to support enquiries you initiated.
You cannot opt out of transactional email while you have an active account, because these messages are required to operate the Service. You can close your account at any time to stop them.
2.2 Marketing Email
Marketing emails (product updates, tips, occasional promotional offers) are sent only if you have explicitly opted in. We do not pre-tick opt-in checkboxes; consent must be affirmative.
- Every marketing email contains a clearly-labelled unsubscribe link.
- Unsubscribe takes effect within 10 business days, as required by the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7704(a)(4)(A).
- You can also manage marketing preferences from your account → Notification preferences.
- Withdrawing consent will not affect your access to the Service.
3. Compliance Standards We Follow
- U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq. — accurate header and subject lines, valid physical postal address in every commercial email, working unsubscribe, no harvesting/dictionary attacks.
- EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and Member State implementations — opt-in consent for direct marketing to natural persons, prior to first message.
- UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) 2003 — equivalent opt-in consent regime for UK residents.
- Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), S.C. 2010, c. 23 — express or implied consent, sender identification, unsubscribe within 10 business days.
- Australia Spam Act 2003 — consent, sender identification, functional unsubscribe.
- EU GDPR, Art. 6(1)(a) and Recital 47 — consent or legitimate-interest legal basis for marketing communications.
4. What You Must Not Do With Our Service
You must not use the Service or its outputs to:
- Send unsolicited commercial email or SMS.
- Harvest, scrape, or compile email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information for unsolicited contact (including from results returned by our SEO and domain tools).
- Use AI tools to mass-generate spam content designed to evade spam filters.
- Forge headers, return-path addresses, or other identifying information in any electronic message.
- Use the Service in any way that could cause our IP ranges or our shared infrastructure (Cloudflare, AWS, SendGrid) to be blacklisted.
- Send messages that violate the law of the recipient's jurisdiction.
Violations result in immediate account termination, removal of any associated content, and may result in legal action and cooperation with anti-spam enforcement bodies (FTC, OPC, ICO, CRTC, ACMA, etc.).
5. Mailing Lists
If you use our tools to draft, format, or analyse email content for your own mailing list, you are solely responsible for:
- Obtaining valid consent from each recipient.
- Maintaining records of consent.
- Honouring unsubscribe requests within the time required by law.
- Including your physical postal address and a clear sender identifier.
- Not sending to recipients who have unsubscribed or who appear on suppression lists.
6. Reporting Spam Sent Through or About Our Service
- If you received unwanted email from our domain (baaed.com), report it to info@baaed.com with the subject line "Spam Report" and full headers attached. We will investigate within 2 business days.
- If you received spam generated using our tools by another user, the same report channel applies. We will take action under our Acceptable Use Policy.
- If our DKIM, SPF, or DMARC records are misconfigured (e.g. emails from us bouncing or being marked spam), please contact us — we treat deliverability bugs as critical.
7. Email Authentication
All outbound email from our domains is authenticated with SPF, DKIM, and a strict DMARC policy ("p=reject"). Mail receivers can rely on these records to filter forged messages claiming to originate from us.
8. Affiliate and Reseller Activity
If you participate in any affiliate, reseller, or referral programme operated or endorsed by us, you must not promote the Service through spam. Spam-promoted referrals are forfeited and the relevant accounts are suspended.
9. Cooperation With Anti-Spam Authorities
We cooperate fully with valid investigations by anti-spam authorities and major mailbox providers (Spamhaus, SURBL, SpamCop, M3AAWG). Where required by law or court order, we will provide records of accounts associated with spam activity.
10. Updates to This Policy
This Policy may change as anti-spam laws and best practices evolve. The "Last updated" date above marks the authoritative version.
